In response to a your requests, Neot Kedumim is now offering a Planting Certificate.
The Planting Certificate provides an opportunity to support Neot Kedumim through one of the activities most associated with Israel’s Biblical Landscape Reserve—putting plants of the Bible into the soil of Israel.

Young hatzavim planted as a border between a wheat and barley field at Neot Kedumim. Don’t be fooled by the small size of the leaves! The bulbs of this plant can extend 6 feet into the earth, making it a perfect natural fence.

Each beautiful certificate, designed at Neot Kedumim, is $25.00. To order your certificate, simply contact AFNK (see contact information, below), let us know how you would like the certificate to be dedicated, and please provide a mailing address for the recipient. Once payment is received, the certificate will be mailed out immediately. In addition to checks, we accept MasterCard and Visa.

Questions About The Planting Certificate

Why are the Neot Kedumim certificates priced at $25, when JNF’s certificates cost $18?
To put it on purely business terms, Neot Kedumim/AFNK does not have the publicity machine that JNF has. That means we are unlikely to do the kind of volume in certificate sales that permits JNF to keep its prices as low as they are. I prefer to make the analogy to Israel Bonds rather than to JNF. Why? Because an Israel Bond is certainly NOT the best choice one could make from a purely “return on financial investment” standpoint. Then why do we invest in Israel Bonds? Because it is a way of expressing our love for Israel. That is the guiding spirit behind the Neot Kedumim certificates— expressing our love for Neot Kedumim with the added benefit of helping to plant something that has biblical significance.

Why is Neot Kedumim planting Hatzavim and not trees?
Neot Kedumim DOES plant trees—all kinds of trees! The certificates highlight a very special plant in Scripture and rabbinic literature. While visitors to Neot Kedumim in Israel may receive certificates for planting trees while they are at the Reserve, it is only plant and flower certificates which are permitted to be sold outside of Israel.

May I purchase blank certificates and fill them in myself?
Yes. The certificates have been designed with a large space to accommodate your own words, which you may type or write in at your own convenience. Of course we are equally happy to do all of the work for you.

Are quantity discounts available?
Yes. With the purchase of 4 certificates, the donor receives one additional certificate free of charge. In other words, we are offering 5 certificates for $100, or $20 per certificate.

I would like to pre-arrange to have Planting Certificates sent to friends and family throughout the year. Is there a convenient way to do this?
Yes. Simply contact the American Friends of Neot Kedumim office at (518) 296-8673 and speak with Hope Dispigno, our Administrative Director. Hope will be happy to arrange to send out the certificates to your designees with your personalized message on the dates you wish to have them mailed.
