Now You Can Grow Biblical Plants at Neot Kedumim
In response to a your requests, Neot Kedumim is now offering a new certificate, which we have named “The Hatzav Certificate”.
The Hatzav Certificate provides an opportunity to support Neot Kedumim through one of the activities most associated with it—putting plants of the Bible into the soil of Israel . Specifically, we will plant the hatzav (white squill) among the olive trees on the Hill of the Menorah.
While there are many references to the hatzav (white squill, in English) in the Bible and rabbinic literature, the certificate celebrates two specific references to this plant: Joshua’s use of the hatzav as a natural border delineating the boundaries of the Tribes of Israel, and as the plant that blossoms in abundance in Israel around mid-August, which is the time of the festival of Tu B’Av, “...when the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance, then come out of the groves ....” Judges 21:21
Each beautiful certificate, designed at Neot Kedumim, is available for a donation of $25.00 including shipping and handling. Order 4 certificates and receive a 5th one free of charge!
To order your certificate, please contact American Friends of Neot Kedumim.
